The Lodge
matumi Lodge 11 can accommodate 4 guests. Each of the two spacious and air-conditioned bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom and a shower/bath under the open sky . Bedroom 1 is furnished with a comfortable Kingsize bed. The Queensize bed in Bedroom 2 is according to your needs easily convertible into two single beds. Mosquito nets are provided during the rainy season.
A private patio facing the Kruger Park invites you to have your morning tea or coffee outside and to enjoy listening to the magic sounds of the bush before you go to bed.
Feel like in Heaven in Matumi Lodge 11!
The large central living space has a fully equipped kitchen where you find things like a little collection of spices, vinegar and oil for your convenience. Heart of the bespoke dining area is a beautiful and unique Matumi table the lodge was named after. During the cooler evenings guests will appreciate to sit by the designer fireplace on the comfortable leather sofa or in a cosy rocking chair .
Frameless glass sliding doors connect the interior to the covered patio which offers an inviting lounge area and a dining table overlooking the pool and allowing a nice view onto the Sabie River.
A crocodile especially made by a local wood carver looks after your private swimming pool whilst you are having a little nap on the cushy sun loungers. It's quite common that zebras and impalas come to the garden to graze.
The patio's Chad-o-Chef gas braai is a good alternative to the open fireplace in the sheltered boma where you can sit and relax around the fire chatting about the day's adventures accompanied by a last sip of red wine or coffee to finish off your day.
And who knows …? You could be the one to spot the rare Pel's Fishing Owl or an elusive leopard strolling past!
Some animals come very close to the fence !
